Campers burned in motor home fire in Georgia

March 7, 2010

Three adults and one teenager were injured in what authorities believe to be a gas explosion inside a camper near Cave Spring, Georgia. While the cause of the fire was still being investigated, witnesses said two men were trying to light a space heater when the female victim standing in the doorway told the men to stop because she smelled gas. Just after that, according to the witnesses, the explosion occurred, blowing the female onto the ground. The explosion created enough force to blow out the camper’s siding at the seams.

The resulting fire also scorched the ceiling and roof of the camper before being extinguished.
